This is a fairly short story. Purchased a 25" Philips TV from BestBuy. The TV was a pretty good deal. After some time the TV started getting a high pitched noise while while it was running. This at first was negligible as it was in a high noise area of my home. When we moved we noticed it more. I took it to a authorized dealer and they attempted to fix it by replacing some type of coil on it. I had to pay for the labor. I continued to use the TV for a few more weeks and the problem was still there. I took it back to the repair shop and they informed me that "it was typical of Philips to make this type of noise." They could try replacing the coil again, but it would most likely still sound that way. No mind you I might be a bit on the more sensitive side of high frequency noices (PC can drive me nuts some times), but still, I was not satisfied with the product. I contacted Philips asking for some compensation in the form of repair costs and or credit toward a new TV. They refused.

I have never purchased another Philips product.
